Curried Hummus

This spicy Indian curry hummus is made from chickpeas, with a hint of tomato, and lots of garlic. It sounds exotic, but this is really just a nice, simple hummus.


Curried Hummus



2 (15.5 ounces) cans chickpeas  (garbanzo beans), rinsed and  drained

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 garlic cloves, crushed 4 teaspoons curry powder

6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1/2 cup water

Salt, to taste. Hot sauce to taste



Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.  Serve (drizzled with olive oil, if desired) with pita chips.
